    A guide to what might happen if you decide to take part?

    Informed consent

    At least 24 hours after receiving a trial patient information sheet you can contact the research unit and make an appointment to discuss being reviewed for the trial, Helen Chamber - Senior Research Nurse and Steve, a patient on a clinical trial explain what happens during informed consent

    Pre Screening

    You may be asked at your initial appointment by the research team to consent to having your previous tumour biopsies used and additional blood samples taken at this appointment Dr Alastair Greystoke explains why.


    Not all trials need pre screening

    Treatment

    If it is safe for you to take part in the trial, you will then be allocated a trial treatment, Julie Irvin Senior Research Nurse and Bill, a current trial patient explain what may happen when you receive treatment
